Barkham Street, Wainfleet All Saints, Lincolnshire

A little bit of London in rural Lincolnshire. The Bethlem Hospital used designs drawn up by Sydney Smirke for houses on their Southwark Estate when developing land in rural Wainfleet. This 1847 development has outlasted its London counterpart which was entirely demolished after World War Two. It looks rather odd standing in between the surrounding small cottages .
