Im St. Lawrence Market, ein grosser öffentlicher Markt an der Ecke Front Street East und Jarvis Street.
Der Markt entstand zu Beginn des 19ten Jahrhunderts und existiert bis heute, aktuell sind rund 120 Marktstände in Betrieb.
Der St. Lawrence Market wurde im April 2012 von National Geographic zum besten Lebensmittelmarkt der Welt gekürt.

In Toronto findet man noch gut frische Ware, ausserhalb und vor allem nördlicher (obwohl auf Farmland) wird's für ortsunkundige schon schwieriger - auch in den grossen Supermärkten ist's teilweise ein Graus ... (und Brot wird sowieso nur noch für Zahnlose ohne Kaumuskulatur hergestellt).
