World Trade Center - 1986

We shall never forget this horrible tragedy !! We all remember exactly what we were doing on that day !! I had a severe lumbago and had decided to lay on my bed for a while, but I felt asleep, then heard the entrance door opening, my husband who was back from work told me, have you seen what happened in NYC. I said no. I was really shocked when I watched TV, but this would have been really worse if I would have seen these images in direct.
All my thoughts to the victims and their families.

Yes it was horrible indeed. Also what followed afterwards. I was driving home from a business trip on a highway, when it came on radio. I stopped immediately and turned on TV (which I had in the car at that time) and was really shocked.

I followed the events on the radio (I was working that day) and I thought there would be more victims than the final toll (already too high).

Hab die Horrorbilder immer noch im Kopf. Ein Tag, der die Welt gründlich verändert hat !

So sahen wir sie noch Ostern 2001 und dann ................

Ja, da werden Erinnerungen wach! Und zwar viel mehr, als bei anderen "Vergleichsfotos". Wahrscheinlich nur wegen der unglaublichen Geschichte um diese beiden Türme...

Ich glaube, jeder von uns weiß noch, was er gerade gemacht hat, als das passierte- ich dachte zuerst, das muss ein Film sein, als ich's in einem Schaufenster ohne Ton in der Glotze gesehen habe...

Es ist schon interessant, dass man noch genau weiß, was man in dem Moment gemacht hat, ich weiß genau, wo im Auto ich gefahren und dann gleich stehen geblieben bin.

und meine Freundin und ich waren gerade mit Frühstücken fertig in unserem Hotel in Greenwich Village, gingen auf die Straße und sahen den rechten Turm brennen ...
