Oh my goodness! Bern? Really? ah, I was there so long ago, but I figured Switzerland hadn't gotten any bigger since then - ha!! Silly me.

I love this approach to photographing the building. It really shows off the buildling well. I like it best of the three.

raingirl, Switzerland has not grown, but its buildings have. ;-)
But there is an unwritten law in Bern that no building may be higher than the cathedral (100 m / 109 yard). And this tower is only 55 m high. It's the perspective that makes it seem higher.

haha - you caught me. of course your are right, Switzerland is exactly the same size as it was.

Berny, das ist das 'Gegenlicht-Blau'. Bei den anderen beiden Bildern ist der Blickwinkel 90° zur Sonne, das macht sicher etwas aus. :)

Volker, ja, die Glastechnologie hat grosse Fortschritte gemacht in den letzten Jahren. Was leider immer noch nicht so richtig gelöst ist, ist das Problem mit den Vögeln, die hineinfliegen und sich das Genick brechen.
