Die Eisfontäne ist insofern künstlich, als dass die Gemeinde St. Ulrich an verschiedenen Stellen im Ort und im Gemeindegebiet künstliche Fontänen installiert hat, deren Wasser dann gefriert.
Und was meine - für diese Situation - ungewöhnliche Kleidung angeht: Wir hatten es vom Auto nur gut 20 Meter weit bis zu diesem Platz. Die Aufnahmen waren schnell gemacht. (siehe auch GEO-Daten und Landkarte)

Es war ein jahrelang gehegter Traum, mal die Sellarunde zu fahren. Aber wenn man die Tirol-Snow-Card hat, tut man das nicht so locker. Deshalb hatten wir im vergangenen Jahr nur die lokale Ski-Saisonkarte und uns einen dreitägigen Ausflug ins Grödnertal als Sahnehäubchen gegönnt.

Wir sind etliche Male rund um die Sella gefahren, aber nur einmal nach starkem und unerwartetem Neuschnee; und jetzt träume ich davon, die Fahrt noch einmal machen
zu können. Aber nachdem ich jetzt an der Nordsee wohne, ist die Entfernung doch
ziemlich groß. Aber die Hoffnung bleibt. :-)
