I'm glad that I was able to bring this memory back to you with this unspectacular photo.

Actually, I find the photo, if not spectacular, definitely intriguing (as well as beautifully composed and detailed, but that is to be expected from you, of course!). In my case it triggered a specific memory, but anyone who has ever walked in the mountains will have come across similar markings at some point and wondered what they meant. It awakens a curiosity and does what really good pictures do: engage your imagination and tell a story!

That's exactly my motivation again and again: to show things that you don't come across every day.
