Extreme Rarities (3): An Emeraldgreen Earthworm

Today I was without a camera in the mountains and was immediately punished for it. On a path that I must have walked a hundred times, I met an absolute rarity for the first time: A Emeraldgreen Earthworm (Aporrectodea emeraldina). Therefore I could only take a mobile phone picture.

This species is on the red list and only occurs in a few places in the Alps, among others in Kaiser Mountains (Tyrol, Austria).

Heute war ich ohne Fotoapparat in den Bergen und wurde gleich dafür bestraft. Auf einem Weg, den ich wohl schon hundertmal gegangen bin, begegnete mir erstmalig eine absolute Rarität: Ein Smaragdgrüner Regenwurm (Aporrectodea smaragdina). Deshalb konnte ich nur ein Handybild machen.

Diese Spezies steht auf der roten Liste und kommt in den Alpen nur noch an wenigen Plätzen vor, unter anderem in Kaisergebirge (Tirol, Österreich).

Altschnee auf einem Wanderweg, wo im Juli alles frei sein sollte.
