Montfoort in the green heart of the Lopikerwaard polder. The town of Montfoort was the residence of the burgraves of Montfoort between the 12th century and 1672.
The population lives from agriculture, trade and small businesses more and more also from tourism. Many inhabitants commute daily to work in the city of Utrecht.

Was für eine wunderschöne Kirche, ich mag es, diese Kanäle und die Gebäude nahe beieinander zu sehen. Ich war vor vielen Jahren in Utrecht (1969).

Ja, Aschi, an den Kanälen entlang lässt sich herrlich Radfahren. Es gibt viel zu sehen, man muss nur etwas auf die Windrichtung achten. Wenn sich der Wind dreht, möglichst hin und und zurück mit Rückenwind.
