Kuh Glocken!!!! Ein reiner Genuss. . Leider gibt es Fliegen... Aber die Glocken, ja die stehen dafÜr.

nicht nur Fliegen, es sind die Bremsen die ihnen stark zusetzen, wenn es gegen Mittag zu heiß und schwül wird, kommen sie in den Stall, da werden sie dann nicht so geplagt, denn die Bremsen bleiben draussen sie mögen das Dämmerige nicht. und die Kühe geben Ruhe.
am späten Nachmittag gehen sie dann wieder raus... und Nachts sind sie sowieso draussen.

but it's also good - because in the fog you can find the cows better in the mountains - or if one is lost

Yes, of course =)

In Finnish the leader cow is called as "kellokas". So, supposedly in fog the leader also gives direction for other cows, to find the herd.

And maybe the bell also helps to scare the predators.
