Tillandsia usneoides, or Spanish moss, or Spanish beard is a plant of the Bromeliad family. Aerophytic plant, devoid of roots and clinging to the bark of trees with its thin, almost threadlike stems. These stems are covered with scaly hairs that serve to absorb water.
