Sea Wall, pip

Sea Wall, pip
The Sea Wall as the sun sets, Bridgwater Bay at Burnham on Sea, Somerset, The pip shows South Esplanade which is along the top of the wall,

A wall of this size is needed because of the huge tidal range which is the second highest in the world, the steps are designed to take the power from waves before they hit the wall which is curved to throw the water back into the sea.

The people on the beach give an indication as to the size of the sea wall! It's a great walk along there, which I hope to enjoy again in the summer. A beautiful shot and perfect perspective Roger.

Some nice concrete work there - I guess if the whole Uk coastline had this,. then there'd no erosion... which is not possible of course,...// A HFF to you. . and keep well - from Dj.

It does at least prevent the waves from causing damage.
