Masca ist ein Bergdorf im Nordwesten der Insel und hat ca.100 Einwohner und 80 Häuser. Es liegt 650-800 m hoch im Teno-Gebirge und war bis in die 1960er Jahre nur über eine Sandpiste von Santiago del Teide zu erreichen. Möglicherweise war Masca ehemals ein Fluchtdorf vor den Piraten des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts.
