yes, melancholy for sure. we plan on travelling again, but both the last year, my motion sickness, and my general anxiety about flying make it tough for me to enjoy the idea of it.

love the Lufthansa image on this - but they are all cool.

i can't remember where you get these old ads from. do you scour old magazines? take them apart, and then scan them? but your images are so clean.

i really should check out my mom's collection of old magazines, mostly Life, but others from that era as well.

Yep. All old magazines, doctored as best I can in Photoshop. (It's a good way to keep in practice even when I'm not finishing any new art.)

I think you do an amazing job digitizing all these! You must have a large scanner as most of those old magazines are fairly large, aren't they?

No, it's the standard size. For the bigger pages, I do two scans and then splice them together in Photoshop.
