Nice - Jardin Albert I
Nice is one of the spots, where tourism was invented by a bunch of english in the second half
of the 18th century. Mid 19th century tourism was already in full swing, and many dignities from Great Britain and Russia spent the winters here on the "Côte d’Azur", where they had very agreeable temperatures and sunshine even in December. Most of the buildings in Nice were constructed during the last quarter of the 19th century, the "belle epoque".
A herd of wild horses crossing the Grand Canyon just in front of the Hotel "Albert 1er" in the center of Nice. The park, where the photo was taken is the "Garden of Albert 1st", one of the oldest parks in the city of Nice. It faces the sea from across the legendary avenue Promenade des Anglais.
