vin[22] - Milestone
There is an [old] "Ministry of Works" cast iron sign protecting the Roman Milestone just outside Vindolanda.
This is thought to be in it's original location on route of the Stanegate and would probably have been inscribed with the distance to Coria [Corbridge] and the name of the Emperor when it was erected.
