The regional variations of "R" across the UK. "R" - the reproduction number - is an esoteric calculation giving an expression of the speed and spread of a disease, in this case Covid-19. There are a wide number of factors influencing R and therefore estimated ranges are supplied; the narrower the range, the greater the confidence level of the calculation.
Values in excess of 1 indicate increase in cases, the higher above 1, the faster the spread.
Below 1 values should indicate a decrease in cases.
