gbw - Long Mynd; sunset 5
Long Mynd Sunset - a group of 5 images of the last stages of a very colourful display on 26 November 2016. Mynydd Hir is 7 miles long and 3 miles at the widest point, the highest spot is Pole Bank at 1693ft (thus qualifying as a "Marilyn"). Much is designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and is owned/managed by the National Trust.
The Long Mynd has also been home to the Midland Gliding Club since 1934, and the Bungee launch method is still used here.
