On Monday 20 October 2014, Manchester Metrolink began a two week full scale dress rehearsal on the new line to Manchester Airport, with a tram every 12 minutes in each direction, prior to the official opening on Monday 3 November 2014 - a full 12 months ahead of schedule.
M5000 series Flexity tram No 3068 approaches the station at Shadowmoss, the first station out of Manchester Airport.
