The platforms at the west end of Bristol Temple Meads were a good location to observe the comings and goings at Bath Road Diesel Depot.
Here we see Brush Type 4 No 1635 at the entrance/exit to the shed yard, with a Warship, Peak, Hymek and a collection of shunters on view. If I remember correctly, the Metro-Vick Co-Bo was also to be found at the bottom end of the yard, in use as a carraige heating unit.
1635 was later renumbered to 47053 and ended its days at Kingsbury in March 2007.

Correct; all locos ordered under the 1955 'Modernisation Plan' were given the 'D' prefix, with 'E' for the electrics.
