HWW Leicester East Midlands 6th December 2024

HWW Leicester East Midlands 6th December 2024
On King Richard's Road (the A47) in Leicester there is an impressive wall mural of, not surprisingly, Richard III presumably at the Battle of Bosworth.

More than 500 years after his death the king's body was discovered under a car park & reburied in the cathedral. Leicester has always celebrated the royal connection but since the find tourism has really increased.

HWW to everyone. Have a great mid-week day.

Erhard Bernstein, Paolo Tanino, Nouchetdu38, Edna Edenkoben and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

A beautifully painted mural, Pete. I love the way it extends to the bottom left. There's so much dynamism here, so much movement that you can almost hear the violence. Very well caught, Pete. Your picture does the painting justice (something that poor old Richard III has never received in the public domain). HWW, mate.

Thanks Ulrich. Richard III was the last English King to lead his troops in battle.
