Nottingham 4th October 2020

Dating from 1189, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem claims to be the oldest pub in England. It sits at the bottom of the Bunter Sandstone (in old money) cliff with Nottingham Castle on top.

HFF and a happy weekend.
HFF, have a great weekend.
A very nice picture, which I like very much!
At first sight it looked very much like Knaresborough!
But.... A quick Google search produced 46 more claiming to be the oldest!!
Still a great picture though!
Best Wishes, HFF, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!
Peter
Belated HFF, Loose_Grip!
I wonder how much of Jerusalem is from 1189. It certainly has a more picturesque location than beside the A259, although its neighbour, Saint Mary's church is a lovely old building.
