As the light rapidly fades the evening train to Bagou passes the rice paddies above Mifenyang on the Shibanxi Coal Railway. A farm dog watches the proceedings after deciding that the photographer is far enough away from his home to be safely ignored. Trains for locals such as this are in the minority on this line these days as tourism is the main source of traffic.
