The power of Mother Nature
OK, I just HAVE to post this link to a YouTube video that my son posted of his Halloween display in their front garden this week, lol! He has always been very artistic and creative, with a great imagination, and very handy with woodwork and so on. A few years ago, he and his wife (who is also very creative) started the "Braeside Cemetery" in their garden each Halloween. I wonder if my Grandson was able to sleep that night, ha!!!

The photo above was taken when I drove west of Calgary on 25 October 2013, along the Elbow Falls Trail (Highway 66) as far as Forgetmenot Pond. I wasn't sure if I was going to run into any snow on the ground, but only passed a few patches just before the Pond. During the Alberta Flood of the Century in June 2013, the rivers caused so much damage and deposited so much gravel everywhere. There was far more gravel here than usual, with little channels of water. The main river is off the photo to the left and Forgetmenot Pond is just off to the right.
Ha, did anyone else forget to change their clocks back an hour, like me? Didn't matter, though, as I'm staying home again today because it's overcast and snowing again like yesterday - and windy, which is never a good thing on a day like today!
