Pine Siskin

Pine Siskin
I don't usually see these Pine Siskins up close, but this one was busy visiting the feeders at Keith Logan's property, on 21 August 2013. Keith and his wife, Sandy, have a 35-acre parcel of land NW of Calgary, and a group of us spent the day there, admiring his brilliant photography and woodwork, and then botanizing his land, recording all flora and fauna that was seen.

Lovely golden tones from the sunlight ... excellent feather details too ... beautiful uniform markings!! Great find and an outstanding capture ... very well taken!!
