Muddy Scout

Definitely from an earlier time!

LOL! Yeah, that had been my parents' Scout, and we ended up with it when my dad retired. This was one of my geology sampling trips--it was a bit muddy!

Ah ha! Easier to get them dirty when they're a 'hand-me-down'...

It was a 1980, the last year they were made. It really wasn't a very good vehicle--it had the 4-banger "half a V-8" engine, so it was really underpowered. And it absolutely _had_ to have premium or it would knock its head off. My old '71 Scout, OTOH--

March '91. This is in northwestern Nevada, and yes it has a winter. As I've said, this part of the state can live up to its Spanish name ("snowy")!
