Clingendael 2024 – Japanese Garden
Clingendael is an estate from the 17th century. Baroness Marguérite van Brienen created a Japanese Garden in the beginning of the 20th century. It is open to the public for only eight weeks a year. The rest of the gardens of Clingendael are freely accessible. During the Second World War Clingendael was the residence of the nazi Reichskommissar Seyss Inquart. The Clingendael house is now the location of the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael.
