Range of Motion
Macro Mondays: An item that represents your present or past career.
I was employed as a Physical Therapist at an outpatient clinic specializing in musculoskeletal disorders of the spine and large joints. One tool I used a lot was the goniometer, which measures the range of motion of a body joint. Anyone who recovers from knee replacement surgery knows they are well on the path to recovery if they can achieve at least 90 degrees active flexion; this is the minimum motion range required to ascend/descend most stairs.
I apologize for using an archive photo this week. I regret that I couldn’t find my goniometer in time to take a new photo.
