Owl headpiece, on kid
We're making an owl costume. This is the headpiece (so far--it may still grow further). Shiny yarns are a bit of a safety feature for night-time trick-or-treating.
Owl costume progress
Daughter made the wings for her owl costume this afternoon at the Swap-o-Rama-Rama at ReDiscover Center. Her wings are made from a discarded feather boa and some fleece.
Literary owls include the Owl of Minerva, and those in Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh, WInd in the Willows; she prefers to say it's the Owl from the Tootsie-pop commercials. Sigh.
"Spicy Chocolate" squares so far
Part-way through the collaborative "spicy chocolate" afghan, with contributions from quite a few of the nine participants so far.
Pink Antlers Hat, front
Crocheted with random thrifted yarn; antlers are hyperbolic, like coral, and can be repositioned/reshaped various ways. They're hollow too, so if you have long ponytails they can be fed through. ;)

Sunburst 12

Granny square in sunburst pattern, 12-inch size. Colors are dark brown, red, maroon, and pale green.
Twelve-inch Square
I didn't make these!
Squares for a group project at Catalina Coffee. I didn't make any of them, but they were so pretty, I had to take a snap.
Squares for a Group Project
