Crocheted Bag
All half-double crochet, with two colors in each stitch in body. Lined with maroon rayon from an old blouse. The button is vintage, from my great-aunt's box of buttons.
Crocheted hat with stripes and tentacles

All cotton; toffee-colored parts are KnitPicks organic. Glass head is from Pier 1 (thanks Ravelry for the tip!).

Crochet Necklace, Pale Green
Made with green cotton crochet thread and an antique boot button. The necklace buttons through the "pendant," which means no irritating clasp catching in your hair, and an easier time for anyone who has trouble reaching back to attach/remove typical necklaces.
Crochet Necklace with Tentacles
Crocheted Button Necklace, blue
Crocheted this from various crochet threads in my stash. One half has the center turquoise disk, the other has the royal blue frill and the silver button, and they button together by overlapping.
Freeform Crocheted Necklace
The pink and black parts are on one side of the necklace, the antique boot button and gold frills are on the other part, and they button together. Mostly thrifted crochet thread, no pattern, just messing around.
Freeform Crochet Hat #2
Same basic structure--six triangles--slightly smaller than the last one, and in warm colors.

Crocheted Snail Eyestalks Hat
Part of a Halloween costume in progress. No pattern for these (imagine that), just made a fairly basic cap and added closed tubes that flared a little at the base.
Now to work on the shell (not crocheting that).
Hand Crocheting (7/12)
For Lisa C.'s "A Month of Hands" project.
Crocheting involves one hook, but both hands--so this isn't an action shot because I had to use the other hand to operate the camera. But it's close. Notice tv remote in background.
Crocheted hem

These thrifted trousers were great--I wore them a lot, and the hems suffered for it. They were too ragged to keep wearing, so I cut them even and added a crocheted edge instead--a quick rescue for a favorite garment.
Crochet-altered blouse
Another quick fix--this thrifted blouse is a nice weight, and I like the pattern, but it didn't fit the way I wanted. So I cut down the center front and added a few rows of crochet. (I promise the hem edge is even in reality--the photo just doesn't show that well.)
Purple crocheted toque
Crochet-altered sweater

This was a thrifted wool-blend pullover--I've had it for years, needed to freshen it up. Felted it a bit, cut it down the middle of the front, added crocheted trim and a button, now it's a cozy cardigan. Yarn also thrifted.
