Very nice. But do we really need so much sky
when the main points of interest are in the lower half?

Yes, we do. The 2:3 aspect ratio is preserved, the buildings are in a balanced position within the frame (Roy might consider this as a point of judgement), the tree and chapel (right) are part of the subject, and the (Shepperton) clouds provide sufficient interest in the sky, top left.

And I'd like to think it's a reasonably nice result, having spent 2 solid hours in Photoshop correcting the verticals, replacing the sky, removing the large blue van and the usual road markings, TV aerials, cables and a telecommunications box plus two prominent, hideous traffic signs.

Anyone who, seeing this (my followers from foreign lands all think, based on my pictures, that England is all so picturesque and quaint) tries to take a similar shot is going to be nonplussed and disappointed.

But all of the rubbish airbrushed out of this view didn't look quite as hideous as I currently do, and I'm embarrassed to go out without wearing a paper bag over my head. Last week I had 16 large seborrheic keratoses on my forehead, hairline and upper face treated by cryotherapy. They should scab up and disappear within two weeks, but meanwhile I feel like Spotty Muldoon and look like a scaled up portion of spotted dick or a victim of Bubonic Plague.

As you wish. The 'no entry' signs are not too bad per se: it's the ugly lights above them.
Good thing it wasn't the front of the chapel, or you would have had to remove the wires.

Sorry about your face. You should have got one of those Mr Bean masks that I suggested back along.

That chapel has a prettier face than I currently have. Look at it peering over the hedge, wide-eyed and smiling.

I'd do better to join the Foreign Lesion. At least I'd blend in.
