DBi DuraStar at work (1) - 9 November 2015

It seemed particularly topical in this RHTT season to capture this sight just to the south of Indio, CA. Strictly speaking, the role of this vehicle is 'vegetation management', one of many services provided by DBi Services. Leaf fall and adhesion are not problems in this part of the world.

This Hy-rail equipped vehicle is an International DuraStar and the spray can just be seen in the picture. It had passed under Dillon Road and was following the route along Highway 111. In the event, it stopped for replenishment at the Indio Union Pacific depot where I took more photographs [qv].
