Admiral William Brown - 24 September 2014

A statue of Admiral William Brown, founding father of the Argentine Navy is, perhaps, the least expected sight on Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin. Mayo born Brown is a hero of 19th century Argentine history. Here, this figure from an improbable past is juxtaposed with a striking symbol of Ireland's present, The Convention Centre Dublin/Ionad Comhdhála Bhaile Átha Cliath which stands of the north side of the Liffey.
