NYC Totality 2079

Maybe it's a look into the future, but for me, it's a look into the past.
I have already seen the dark side of the world, and sometimes I look back and this is what the past looks like.

Unfortunately Kayleigh, in many cases the past is the future and the future is the past. And yes, Freedom Tower can be a reflection of this dark past -- one only need look back to 9/11. :( Human history and astronomical events tend to repeat themselves, the former many times in unpleasant ways. Fortunately after such eclipses, light returns. Sadly, we're still waiting for the Light when it comes to the destructiveness and violence of human history.

At the same time, based on the often used phrase "ominous" it's interesting to note that in spite of the 21st century modern setting and scientific knowledge that fully explains the mechanics of solar eclipses, the same primal fear of foreboding that our ancient ancestors felt remain deeply embedded in the human psyche. Perhaps their fears of the end of the world upon experiencing totality remains an integral part of our DNA that has been passed down.

Today, we can describe and even experience the future. The same goes for the past. But are we capable of facing the present and its countless challenges?
A captivating and questioning composition, William....!
(I think our DNA has only passed on an injunction to survive, which roughly defines the life drive. The mind, its aspirations and fears have not, I think, yet influenced its chemical composition. Any other interpretation seems to me to show a drift away from this relatively primary purpose).

Resulta un tanto trágica está toma, y como premonitoria de momentos negros. Últimamente he visto dos películas de distopías sobre la ka historia de EEUU. La saga La Purga, La noche de las Va estáis y Civil War, que no me ha gustado porque es un derroche de carreras, explosiones y cero historia, pero todas ellas abundan en un tenebroso futuro para EeUu y, que por desgracia, veo futurible. Las cosas, en estos momentos, no están mucho mejor en España.

For America, the times seem very threatening. It seemed like democracy and peaceful transitions of power are a thing of the past. Unless there's a miracle and RFK jr. can defeat Biden and Trump, both of whom have authoritarian tendencies and likely won't accept the election results if they don't "win", there will likely be big problems. Sad to say these problems will likely include violence. :( I'm disappointed to see Spain is also facing similar issues. You would think the Franco era would've been enough for people to simply say no to authoritarianism. I wish you and everyone the best in Spain. Let's hope our two countries can see the light after the solar eclipse and the peoples and politicians do the right thing.

The conflict of forms is well shown: large and small.
But the bottom line is that small things have a round shape, and everything in nature has a cycle, spring comes after winter, and this cycle is eternal.
And no matter what size the rectangular shapes are, they don't have a chance to win.
