In honor of Linda Ronstadt's birthday, July 15th ♥ ♥ ♥
I have loved her since I was a teenager and was lucky enough to see her live in 1976. I think she was one of the best female vocalists ever. She could take a song written by anyone else and make it all her own and she even made me like some Country Music. :)
Happy Birthday, Linda Ronstadt!
For Sight and Sound:
This song is one of my favorites from the first album of hers that I ever heard. It was written by Woody Guthrie, Huddie Ledbetter and Alan Lomax and features Bernie Leadon on guitar and vocals and Herb Peterson on banjo, fiddle and vocals.
From her self-titled album (1972)

The concert was in the "King Dome" in Seattle (since demolished) and it was HUGE. I just remember she was very small on the stage but her voice completely filled that place.I mostly saw her on the big screen they had up as they do with big concerts. It was a great concert with John David Souther and The Eagles too. Back when you really got an amazing show for your money. :)
and this excellent photo
ave a nice day dear
Alles Gute wünsche ich Dir noch zum Geburtstag
