Hawse Hole
From north of Ile d'Orleans (just north of Quebec City), the St Lawrence River is too huge and broad to simply be a "river"; more appropriately it is the St Lawrence "Bay". This is on the ferry from Baie-Comeau (north bank) to Matane (south bank). Here the St Lawrence River (Bay!) is over 60 Km wide and the trip takes 2hrs 30minutes.
