That is a shame, and at only a quid for half a dozen....rather buy them from this picturesque cabinet than from Tesco's!!!

Me too Denis! We have two similar sellers in my village, so I am lucky. I was surprised to see blue shells though! They tasted just the same :)

What a great find Rosa!
Never seen something like that in Italy neither in those past times :-) where, I remember, in the open air daily markets there were men / women from the country carrying a basket of fresh eggs covered with a a neat linen cloth.
I Love it so much together with the splendid hibiscus trees!
