Hi Steve, Yes indeed at this particular time of the day, the lifts were bare!! there are many seats on this lift so they are not ever completely full anyway. Look close here also, and see the bare trees where the fires threatened Gatlinburg right up to the city itself !! :(( When we returned from there last year, in just a day or two we saw the fires coming right in to Gatlinburg, we were in shock! But luckily the flames were contained away from the city itself !! :) It was a tragic event in the Smokey Mountains !!! and in many of these out -of-control fires, they are caused by stupid people, maybe even setting the fires !! :((((( Or careless in camping!!

warmest wishes my friend, hope your weekend is going good, our Saturday is such a beautiful day, sunny and not cold at all, even tho we have had almost freezing temps earlier this week ! And colder in next day or two. Sarah xx
