Directly below me is the giant cave you can see in other Porthcadjack shots. www.ipernity.com/doc/2247598/46009804/in/album/1036936 (taken from the far end of Samphire Island).

Photo taken in 2011. The last time I came here, last year, much of the crumbling cliff on the far side of the cove had disappeared.
Zennor coast.

Any idea what we have here?
...And solved in super-fast time by Sami; see below!
Sierra de La Cabrera, vulture and foggy valley

A foggy December day. Worth it when emerging from the fog! Madrid was in fog. The entire 1.5 hour bus journey was in fog. 3/4 of my walk was in fog. I didn't know if I would break clear of it. But what joy when I did!
Godrevy. (St Ives in the distance)
HFF everyone!

Yes, it's there!
Spring wildflowers brightening up what is a piece if wasteground at other times of the year!

Another awkward one - I was standing on tiptoe on a tiny granite ledge to get this. View towards Pico de La Miel, Sierra de La Cabrera
BATS!!

Newdowns Head and Man and His Man, Cornwall.
The conical grids are to stop humans and large animals falling down these tin mine shafts and to allow the free to-ings and fro-ings of the many bats that colonise them.
Bosigran Head. Granite, moss and lichen

Visible from here is the grassy ledge that runs along the face of the cliff and provides an interesting walk and/or a starting point for rock climbs.
Paseo de la Castellana.

From Torre Europa, looking north to Torres Kio and the Four Towers along this main Madrid thoroughfare. Behind the furthest towers can just be glimpsed La Sierra de La Cabrera.
Best on black and full screen.
H. A. N. W. E. everyone!

Granite rock window in La Sierra de La Cabrera.
I remember it wasn't easy holding on to the rock with one hand and taking this shot with the other!
I resorted to jumping!
As this was above head height, I wasn't sure what I'd got till I had a peek on the bus back! Only two were successful! This is the other one: www.ipernity.com/doc/2247598/46553974

Granite boulder above a sea of fog.

I like this boulder. It is about three times my height and has a commanding presence, even without this backdrop of fog in the Lozoya Valley. Sierra de La Cabrera, of course!
