La puerta no parece tan vieja, cambiarían anteriores, porque esos agujeros están hechos con taladro, supongo. Es un sistema de aireación que he realizado yo en los cajones que he utilizado en vehículos para llevar perros, por todas las caras (5) salvo la base.

I suspect you're right. I don't have any knowledge of old doors, or carpentry texchiques and so bow to your obvilously greater expertise in these mattere, josé Manuel. Live and learn! Anyway I think it's a picturesque door and at least the wheel ruts have to be significantly old! (I have amended my notes to reflect your concerns).

That's a grand door Andy and very typical of Spanish big doors I think as I saw a few similar in my travels there. Great to be educated re the holes too.
