Very well captured - we have similar around here, as we have very rocky and aride areas, too. Many of your sierra-images remind me to them. It's not granite here but limestone with very, very little but very black organic gound on it. The expansions of course are not compareble with them in Spain.

There are similarities, no doubt. And many differences. Which is what makes it all so fascinating!
