An impressive building nicely captured

Wow this looks a fascinating place to have offices. Was it a hospital of some kind before being renovated? It looks rather fancy with the towers etc for a hospital, but your title does suggest it.

Please read all my notes a few shots back on my first upload of this place. It will give you the answers. Plus the fact that it was initially intended as a TB isolation hospital as it was 1) at that time well outside the built-up centre of the city and 2) it is on a rise and gets much in the way of fresh breezes off the mountains (important in the furnace that is summer in Madrid ... not so sure about the freezing winter months though ... and Madrid gets MUCH colder than England in most winters).

It looks pretty impressive in the sunshine............with those high stone walls it seems more like a castle than anything else!

Looking at it's history as an isolation hospital, it was probably very fit for purpose!
