She had a lucky opportunity, redundancy after 35 years service meant megabucks. Then immediately re-engaged by the parent company at an increased salary! So they sold their tiny flat and moved into a very nice hillside property with fantastic views.!

Too hot, Peter.
It was a real scorcher - 41C (105F at a guess), as I recall!
My girlfriend and I had gone there to help with some work that needed doing (I forget what exactly) but the heat meant that we all sat around wrapped in wet towels drinking ice-cold beer!
