Lake Louise
In the summer of 2014 we traveled through the Canadian Rockies and visited Lake Louise. We made sure we arrived at Lake Louise early in the morning and found a place to park before walking to the back of the lake. By the time we came back the place was overflowing with cars and people and were only to happy to drive on through Banff and into Jasper and Robson. Until now I'd not gotten around to posting photos from that trip.
Andrea Riberti, Nora Caracci, Nouchetdu38, Hubs 56 and 34 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you.
Congratulations on Explore!
Your main shot is crazy amazing. So lovely, one to sit and sigh at. Those colors, omg!!!! The lake, the sky, contrasted with puffy clouds...the light on the mountainsides...*falls over* HEY. YOU! You are paying for my doctor's visit if I "fall and can't get up"! :D *high five*
Seriously, all of your insets are incredible and add to the presentation so wonderfully. I really cannot wait to see this place! :) It's jaw-dropping.
How annoying that the place was crawling with people. I know, I know, I shouldn't be annoyed by other visitors but the cattle-stampede parade of obnoxious idiots gets so old, doesn't it? It's so embarrassing to be in the company of so many inconsiderate neanderthals. Seems like Europe has a better understanding of revering these places, being quite and respectful. *sigh* Granted, this isn't always the case but more usual than not.
Thank you so much for your glowing comment of my blackberry leaf, I'm delighted that you liked it so much. I am very keen on the inset version too...it was hard to choose which to post until I used thumbnail view as a criteria and then it was easy. But the rich colors on the inset version are so pretty. I loved what you had to say about what photography teaches us. It's true. I look at everything in a different way as a photographer. The potential to capture a special view is always on my mind. Blackberry bushes are a treasure trove of incredibly gorgeous leaves and I have to pull myself away by my ear to keep from taking another set of images. They are a lot like Oregon-grape leaves this way. I was admiring those leaves just yesterday when I found Houndstongue buds to photograph. Grape leaves are astonishing in their beauty. ( www.ipernity.com/search/photo?opt=&q=oregon+grape&w=290645&t=0&lic=&s=0 ) The texture and detail, the colors and shape are just divine. :)
You rock, ty for your super comments, Ron! :)
