Sparrow's-egg Lady's Slipper


Also known as Franklin's Lady's Slipper, Cypripedium passerinum is found for the most part north of the US-Canadian border, though there are locations in Montana. These (ncluding the insets) were photographed in Kootenay National Park in British Columbia. They are often difficult to photograph since they tend to grow under bushes and in heavy brush.
