Ruby Beach
Having spent most of the day at the Hoh Rainforest, we left the Hoh and continued south on the Olympic Highway to the coast and stopped at Ruby Beach, the first of the magnificent coastal beaches that are a part of Olympic National Park. Most of them just have numbers, First Beach, Second Beach, etc., but Ruby Beach has a name. We had our evening meal of freeze-dried food, noodles and coffee and then wandered the beach waiting for the sunset whcih we watched with a little wine and some chocolate, a great end to a wonderful day.
