Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier
And lest she feel left out, here is one of my wife's pictures of Rainier. It's not that different but with better composition than mine, IMO. So, if you're interested you can compare ours with Tim's who hiked with us and who has also posted a similar shot. She and I were traveling back from eastern Washington and Tim will be working this week in the area, so we decided to meet at Rainier for the day. We were early and were stopped at an overlook, both of us perched on a wall, when Tim came driving through. After heading up to the visitor's center at Sunrise we were on the trail by 8:00 am and hiked the First, Second and Third Burroughs trails, finishing the day with a beer and some Mexican food in the town of Buckley.

ron - thanks for remembering the wife... and the photo is great. the only one of the three with some living thing included for a different kind of perspective on the scene. i like how the cloud and bush relate to each other.
