Young deer with a blonde coat

Young deer with a blonde coat
I could not find any explanation about this color, but there are photos by other people. www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-272190-1.html Perhaps they are a variation of piebald deer, which are white with dark patches. No, it's definitely not an albino, it lacked the red eyes and pink nose and lips. This was shot through my car windshield.

These are "town deer," which means they live around small towns, but they do that for the juicy gardens, not for the company! It's against the law to feed them, though, because they attract mountain lions and wolves. I'm not sure if that is enforced very much, but there was a mtn lion incident in the yard of someone who threw apples on his lawn to feed deer. That was a shock! Very close to where I was living at the time.

Yes, those pinto ones are called piebald, which just means spotted. I read some things on hunting forums, people asking what these blonde ones were and if anyone else had seen one. On the other hand, there is a lot of information about albino and piebald deer. So, the blondies are a mystery.

I don't recall ever seeing such. I looked to see if 'albino' would be correct, but apparently to be considered an example of albinism she would have to have pink eyes.

Yes, and a pink nose and ears. I searched and searched online after finding this beauty and could not get a "diagnosis" for this specific variation. I discovered that a couple of other people couldn't, either. I suppose I should just call the Wildlife people.
