Somehow, Diane --- this is not how I pictured it, but then perhaps it is a possibility that those of us who are hand drummers for Tribal Dancers have a POV much different than most.

Do like your perspective, though...

Hahaha - you always crack me up, Peggy. This is the local version of the casbah, as usual an inferior replica. Thank you for the star!

Haha - it does! Or, papier mache! There was a lot of "creative" work with stucco in the 1920s and 30s. It's the first time I've ever seen this particular kind of surface.

I would like to have a couple of drinks with the architect, just to try and get some idea where his head was at went he dreamt this one up!

You'd have to go back in time about 75 years for this one. It's the "artistic stucco that slays me. I'm trying to figure out what device they used to stamp that freaky pattern into it. ;-b

I agree, it is the element that really makes the place truly hideous, imho! There was a trend for a cream-coloured wallpaper in 60s and 70s Britain with a similar pattern for interior walls, but on a much more modest scale, called 'cracked ice' if I remember correctly. It seemed to infect our house and those of our friends like a rapidly spreading rash! It was pretty horrible as well but not on this scale of ghastliness!

It's a fungal infection. Some Canesten should clear it up in a week or so.
