Jh waren während des Zweiten Weltkriegs nicht, wie die mittelalterlichen Chorscheiben, ausgebaut worden. Nur mit Holzbrettern und Sandsäcken versehen, zersplitterten sie unter dem Druck der, in unmittelbarer Nähe, explodierenden Bomben. Nach dem Krieg hat man zunächst einfache getönte Gläser eingefügt, die auf der Südseite nach und nach durch moderne Fenster ersetzt wurden.
