The one and only Nikolaus!

➽ Jedes Jahr, wenn ich ihn sehe, denk ich mir, das muss der Echte sein... seit über 50 Jahren mimt Wolfgang W. in meinem Stadtteil Pfersee nun den gütigen Bischof aus Myra und verteilt bei Weihnachtsmärkten und Vereinsfeiern kleine Geschenke an die Kinder.
Nikolaus von Myra ist einer der bekanntesten Heiligen der Ostkirchen und der lateinischen Kirche. Sein Gedenktag, der 6. Dezember, wird im gesamten Christentum mit zahlreichen Volksbräuchen begangen.

Nicholas of Myra is one of the most famous saints of the Eastern Churches and the Latin Church. His memorial day, December 6, is celebrated throughout Christianity with numerous folk customs.
